Class Descriptions

Class Descriptions

Rooted in tradition and thoughtfully designed to support real bodies, real lives,

and meaningful connection.  All of our classes are all levels, all the time.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is a traditional, holistic practice that integrates posture, breath, and awareness to cultivate balance and steadiness. In this slower-paced class, postures are held with intention, allowing time to explore alignment, strength, and ease. Breathwork and moments of stillness may be included to support nervous system regulation and prepare the body and mind for meditation. Hatha Yoga offers a grounding practice that builds strength and flexibility while encouraging clarity, balance, and inner calm.

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga is a gentle yet powerful practice that weaves together mindful movement, breathwork, mantra, and meditation. Often described as the Yoga of Awareness, this class invites you to slow down, tune inward, and cultivate greater self-awareness and balance. Practices may include rhythmic movement, conscious breathing, and moments of stillness, offering support for nervous system regulation and everyday resilience. Kundalini Yoga is accessible, inclusive, and designed to support clarity, calm, and a deeper sense of connection.

Mat Pilates

Mat Pilates is a mindful, full-body practice that emphasizes core strength, alignment, breath, and body awareness. Rooted in the original work of Joseph Pilates, this class focuses on strengthening and lengthening the body while supporting posture, balance, and coordination. Exercises are thoughtfully sequenced and easily modified, making Mat Pilates accessible for all levels. This practice supports functional strength, flexibility, and focus while encouraging ease, stability, and resilience in everyday movement.

Slow Vinyasa Yoga

This class invites you to move slowly and mindfully, linking breath with intentional movement. We’ll focus on building strength, stability, and steadiness without rushing or pushing. Poses are held a bit longer, transitions are unhurried, and space is made for awareness, balance, and ease.  Modifications and options are always offered, making it a supportive practice whether you’re new to yoga, returning after time away, or simply craving a slower, more grounded flow.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is a breath-led, flowing practice that balances movement and stillness with intention. This class emphasizes equal length and equal strength, inviting steady, mindful transitions that cultivate balance, mobility, and resilience. Postures are linked with awareness and breath, creating space for both effort and ease. Vinyasa offers an embodied practice that supports vitality while encouraging presence, clarity, and inner steadiness.

Warm Hatha Yoga

Warm Hatha Yoga is a steady, mindful practice offered in a gently heated room (approximately 80–85°F). Rooted in traditional Hatha Yoga, this class emphasizes breath, alignment, and intentional movement, allowing postures to be explored with care and presence. The warmth supports mobility and circulation while encouraging deeper awareness and release. With a slower pace and moments of stillness, Warm Hatha offers a grounding practice that builds strength and flexibility while inviting balance, focus, and calm.

Yin Yoga

A slow, meditative practice centered on long-held, floor-based postures that target deep connective tissues in the hips, pelvis, and spine. Poses are supported with props to encourage relaxation, joint health, and improved range of motion. Expect periods of stillness, deep stretching, and mindful breathing, with the option for gentle transitions or subtle movement to support ease and integration.

Yoga Foundations

This pop up class is a supportive, slow-paced introduction to yoga that focuses on the basics: breath, simple movement, and feeling at home in your body again. We’ll break down common poses, offer plenty of options, and move mindfully so you can build strength, mobility, and confidence at your own pace.

There’s no pressure to keep up, no complicated choreography, and no expectation to “look” a certain way. Whether this is your very first class or you’re coming back after time away, injury, or major life changes, this class meets you exactly where you are.

PRICING

Sustainable Pricing Options

We believe high-quality, thoughtfully designed programming should be accessible and rooted in community. Most offerings can be booked with a drop-in or class pass, including our 5 and 10-class passes and our new student special.

Drop-in passes are $17 and can be selected at checkout when booking a single class... a simple way to join us, whether you’re new, visiting, or easing back into practice.

Class passes (linked below) offer more flexibility and value for those who wish to practice regularly and be part of the ongoing rhythm of the Sanctuary community.

Our 5-class pass ($75) and 10-class pass ($120) offer exceptional value with access to premium classes and events. These passes include all women’s wellness offerings created and led by Sanctuary founder Julie Diedrichsen, and can be used across regular weekly classes and most Sanctuary-led events.

Most Sanctuary-led offerings 90 minutes or less are eligible for class pass use.

Occasionally, longer workshops, retreats, special events and guest-led offerings are priced separately.
